Swervedriver has a split 7″ with Sophia available. Look for their “Wrong Treats” EP available later this year! It will contain more songs than the import single! Their Space Travel Rock and Roll single is available domestically (limited to 2,500 CDs/500 LPs). Same as the Australian release but with much better packaging.
Adam Franklin and Steve George of Swervedriver will be collaborating with Sophia in NYC at the Mercury Lounge (217 E Houston St. at Ave A, New York City, 212-260-4700) on February 24th and at Arlene Grocery (95 Stanton St, between Ludlow & Orchard Sts, New York City, 212-358-1633) the following Saturday night.
Swervedriver (and Zero Hour labelmates Varnaline) will have a song on the upcoming soundtrack for Morgan J.Freeman’s (Hurricane Streets) new movie Desert Blue due out in May. The cast includes Christina Ricci, Casey Afflect, Sara Gilbert and Kate Hudson. Desert Blue will be the premiere movie screened at this years SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX.
Swervedriver’s 12″ Single “Space Travel Rock and Roll” will be released on 12/08 and is nicely packaged in a special grey, metallic, see-through bag and limited to 2,500 CD’s and 500 LP’s.
