Paul Kelly - Khe Sanh
Not sure if you guys realise but Khe Sanh is one of the most Australian Anthems sung in pubs across the nation for a good 20 years, much like America Pie would have been i guess in USA (and the rest of the world) ... Anyway Cold Chisel made it famous and now their back catalog has been covered by newer aussie artists. Paul Kellys is my favourite, but they have a bunch of great rock tracks. Let me know if you want a copy. Onyas

As we have said before.."Kelly is the man", and he is. I've grown to love his music. Don't believe I've heard that one, though. Will check it out.

Today it's John Abercrombie-Timeless. All guitarists need to hear this one, well, actually everybody needs it, also. The melody is actually very simple, but it's soooo, shall we say..transcendant! I do it often on acoustic guitar. It's from his first recording for ECM, of the same title.

arrr Silversuns = bliss for me.

Ive known some flakey girls like Juliette Lewis seems in some of her roles. I think theres room for her in the acting pool, if only to portray these sorry people.

Ecky Thump? Is that the single in USA by The White Stripes, as it is in Australia at the moment? Jack said it was inspired by the classic Goodies episode where Bill Odie is a member of the strange Blood Pudding wielding martial art clan. One of the best pieces of television ive witnessed. How could the song suck?

I think Dirt just shades it, Facelift was amazing but it was of its time, a bit glammy and there are some truly cringeworthy moments, Dirt still sounds great and it covers the universal and age old themes of.....skag

Chanbara - At The Drive In

What the fuck happened with these guys? Easily one of the best bands out there at the time. Now were left with two that cant live up to the one they dissolved. I frickin hate The Mars Volta. Pretentious pricks. Sparta isnt bad but I just havent been able to get into them.

I'm just the opposite. I loved At the Drive-In, but I think breaking up got rid of some dead weight. Sparta is ok, but Mars Volta is easily one of my Top 10 bands.

hey Interloper. Is "Wow, are they good?" a real question?
If so...
I've really been diggin them! (When I'm in the right mood) For me they kind of sound like a mixture of early Helmet and early Rage Against the Machine combined then, add a little sonic guitar and you get TAASnakes!
If you haven't listened to them I'd recommend them to ya. They might not blow you away - but, they do fill the void.

I found out about These Arms are Snakes from a friend of mine that visits the Helmet forum a lot. I guess a lot of those dudes are more interested in TAAS than the most recent Helmet offerings...
But, I first got a track by them from one of you guys - I thought I did at least ... maybe not?

Have you seriously not heard them Hayseed?
Because you could be scratching your chin in an - "Hmmmmm - they sound interesting" kinda way...
or
you could be scratching your chin in a - "Hmmmmm - rockets freakin' waaaaaay off" kinda way...

A classic Garden gem! I heard "Big Dumb Sex" on XM radio the other day. For some reason I'm not quite as annoyed with the high vocals. I guess I just want to hear good rock n roll right now.
