A couple years ago Strudlehead posted that the 92 Babyhead show(and others) is up on DIME. I don't have an account, but that's where you can get it. Show is great, Ive listened to it few times now.

Possibly. But as it was the night after my birthday I doubt it...

48 hours after this gig, we lost our drummer.

Hi Adi! I was thinking that recording came from soundboard when I wrote my post, and you were not heard in the mix. But after multiple listens, I think it is audience recording. So I guess you got ripped on your birthday? Curt Smith commented on "red eyes" in the studio when you guys did his show. And you told him it was your birthday the night before!

pecdr - Youtube is only source I know of. You at the show in R.I.that night?

Mike, I wish I had been there. By 1992 I was already a huge fan, but unable to fly to the US for that tour. This is the best live recording I've listened to in a long time, Sunset and Pile-Up sound particularly nice. The perfect SWD gig.

The show was on DIME in the past. Here are the show notes from the txt file:

Swervedriver
January 26, 1992
Club Babyhead
Providence, RI

DO NOT SELL - FOR TRADING/SHARING ONLY

This is an excellent recording thanks not only to a great sound mix, but also that the crowd allowed me the opportunity to tape from a perfect spot close to the stage without worry of a mosh pit erupting or a body flying my way. No loud talking, either.

I first heard of Swervedriver the year before thanks to a tape-trading friend, Paul, who visited from the Netherlands. He had picked up the Raise LP during his travels and it impressed me to the point that I knew I had to be on the lookout to see this band live. As luck would have it, Swervedriver soon came to a tiny club in my area near the start of the band's US tour. The show was ever better than I had imagined. The set even included an encore of Jesus.

On a side note, this was the night of Super Bowl XXVI (Washington Redskins over Buffalo Bills 37-24). It was weird to get to the club a bit early, find it nearly empty and then see the place packed in a matter of minutes after the game ended. Even shoegazers watch football.

Equipment: Sony PC-62 > Sony WM-D3 (Dolby Off)

Lineage: Master Cassette (Maxell XL-II 90) > Yamaha KX-500U (Dolby Off, Play Trim Adjustment) > Audacity (16 bit/44.1 kHz) > WAV > xACT (fix SBE) > FLAC (Level 8)

Recorded and transferred by Phil H. (phil183)

Length: 56:33

Tracks [Time]:
01. Sci-Flyer [7:01]
02. Juggernaut Rides [3:06]
03. Sandblasted [4:33]
04. Sunset [5:06]
05. Deep Seat [6:49]
06. Rave Down [5:33]
07. Pile-Up [3:53]
08. Son Of Mustang Ford [5:19]
09. Kill The Superheroes [9:01]
10. Jesus [6:12]

Notes:
a) This is the complete set. Medicine Ball opened and Poster Children played second.
b) There is an edit at the split between Tracks 08 & 09 due to the master tape flip.
