Wow! Don't think he had any of the vinyl w/ him in Boston, or the Australian BoM. What's the bonus track?

The extra track on the Aussie version is "Silver Freight Train". Totally worth it. It's an awesome song.
Also, I didn't see any of the "Birdsong" EP's.

And for everyone's info. The Sid's Eye's vinyl copy may be very close to selling out. Looks like its sold out on the Toshack site.

We need some live recordings from this tour. I will do my part to support it. Even if its only a donation.

Luckily, I was just able to order the Syd's Eyes vinyl over at the Toshack site. Wish they had the Toshack vinyl as well, would buy it in a second!

Brooksy, perhaps Adam will have some goodies left after the tour. I'm sure those treats will be made available to us Swervies. I want to order a couple t-shirts. My wife really liked the design.

The Syd's Eyes 7-inch is sweet man. I grabbed one too Lopes, signed by the Master!!

I blew it and didn't get a set list down.(I'm a yarra) There were a few songs that blew my head off though.

"The Streets That Spin Off", "LSD Baroque", "Canvey Island Baby", "I've Lost The Feeling"

And there was this tight little instrumental jam that I couldn't figure out. I hope someone here knows what it was/is. I was impressed to say the least. Prolly should have asked him.

Ended the show with "Ramonesland". What a great version. Adam put down his guitar and walked off the stage and left the band to slowly wind down. I hope you all got the same treat. That act will be played over in my mind for quite some time.

Yeah, Ramonesland was great. However, I wasn't expecting Director's cut..

When I talked to Adam before the show he mentioned that they might be playing a Swervedriver song. I asked what it would be but he wouldn't tell me. Of course he said it with a grin and a giggle. I just stood there and shook my head. It was "Directors Cut".

The t's look cool. Its the artwork on the CD itself from "B.O.M."

The t-shirts are very cool. Whenever I wear mine I get complements. If he does have any left over, may get a red one for the wife!

Thanks dudes. My buddy and jam mate Aaron took 'em.

I have another friend that took some shots as well - I'm hoping he will share them some day soon...

The shot at the bar is Madina, Adam and me. And the shot of the guys in front of the van is at Aarons house the mornig after the show...

Never seen JMC before but caught them in Sydney on the weekend (v-festival). I'm not a huge fan'n all but i really appreciated their non-fuss music. It was, to put it in the true sense of the word, "cool". They certainly define that word. I guess with a fair contingent of tanned up bondi beach gals and guys in the crowd sporting as little as they could get away with, they may have found themselves asking what the hell they were doing out in Centennial Park on a sunny festive day dressed in stylin' black atire with shades knocking down their elegant tunes on a bunch of 'don't give a fuck aussies' but that sound seemed to come across as a 'hey remember this!' and looking around at the die hard fans and new comers alike - they were diggin it. I was diggin it as a breath of fresh air from the likes of Queens of the Stone age who were out to show that they had dicks and weren't going away until you got the message. Meanwhile, long after the JMC gracefully smiled and gave a cruisy waved to the crowd on their stage exit, I still got that baseline to "Sidewalkin'" guiding me along the footpath on the way home that night.

Smashing Pumpkins (who headlined at the festival) were good, but I feel somewhat sad at the machine that the mainstream dictates they become. There were definitely signs of resistance but what can you do when you get that big. I think for a start you stop making albums that are themed along the lines of the 'crisis in the USA' and 'contradictions of Liberty' happening there (Greenday have already done it) and get back the the sounds and SILENCE! They can do that i know they can.

Helmet are playing in my local town (Newcastle NSW)this month coming - looking forward to that.

don't get me too wrong about QSA (probably a bit harsh there), they definitely got one of the stongest work ethics i've seen in a performance, just a bit 'monster-truck' like for me.

Jeez. The band I had in high school opened for them once in '87, before they even had a proper release out, just a hand-dubbed cassette. The singer was kind of a jackass, but they were really good, even way back then. Definitely a cut above the average punk/hardcore bands that would typically play that venue (like my band).

I agree with Brad - Go see Dungen. Absolutely one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Totally mindblowing. If you play an instrument, you will leave feeling profoundly untalented, but with a smile that won't leave your face for the best part of a week.

Just got back from Mogwai. Missed Fuck Buttons since my ride was late.

Mogwai sounded beautiful, but it just took 'em too long to get going. I dunno. I think seeing SWD has jaded me. Got a few "Swervedriver Rocks!" from folks who noticed my pedals shirt.

Ahh! Thank god somebody else has heard of these guys. Seriously one of the most criminally overlooked bands out there.

That should be a great show. I saw them, it was as much a physical experience as a musical one. They are damn good at what they do.

Goldfrapp was great minus the fact that they played mostly new songs which *cringe* I still do not own yet!! Or even d/led!!! They played several songs off of Supernature which were cool, played Utopia, and couple off of Black Cherry which was top notch!!!

System & Station are great, can't believe that they've been around for 10 years now... I agree w/you Torc!!!

Oh yeah, TORC, unfortunately they played a super short set cos there were only 2 of us in the alterknit lounge, SUX!!! I wish there were more ppl cos they woulda played a longer sweeter set. It was my 2nd time seeing them and they sounded great. I did record the short set this time, but not the 1st one unfortunately...

They played a pretty short set here too when they played the Hemlock - maybe 40 minutes. There were about 25 people.

Oh, in case no one has mentioned, My Bloody Valentine at the Concourse last night was really, really...really, really loud.

I heard a story on NPR last week about the MBV show at the ATP festival. The reporter said it was so loud, it was like a deep tissue massage with sound.

It was uncanny hearing NPR play tracks from Loveless during the story and after the story was over.
