audio tracks. Every band should be so lucky to be so well represented

The official web site for Swervie Adam Franklin's new solo album Toshack
Highway is live, albeit in a constant state of development. Though
riddled with "Coming Soon" messages, it looks like it will soon
be chock-full-o-goodies for the TH/SWD fan, complete with lyrics, sound
& video, a guest book, and tour info. Keep checking back and see it
come to life before your eyes! (Note: I had nothing to
do with this, so don't go flaming me for registering Adam's domain name!!!)

03/03/2000 -- "Toshack
Highway" New Release Date: April 11, 2000.
The official U.S. release date for "Toshack
Highway," the solo album by Swervedriver's Adam Franklin is April
11, 2000. The album will be released on Catapult
Records and will be available from music retailers throughout the
United States as well as online stores such as Amazon.com.
Flower
Shop Recordings will release the album in the U.K.
02/17/2000 -- "Toshack
Highway" to be released in March.
The scheduled release date for Adam Franklin's solo album "Toshack
Highway" is March 21, 2000. The album is to be released in the
U.S. on Catapult
Records and in the U.K. on Flower
Shop Recordings. Flower Shop has released Swervedriver material in
the past in the form of a 7" single featuring My Zephyr/Mars. As
a band, Swervedriver still remain without a label. Hopefully this will
change soon.
02/05/2000 -- A quite period.
Lots going on, but not much to report. Adam has recorded and will soon
release a solo album entitled Toshack
Highway. Details will be forthcoming. Jez has been busy with Bad Earth
Studio recording & producing other bands and playing with friends
on side projects. Steve is contributing on that front as well. Jimmy's
been being a dad. The guys may be in the studio this summer. More on that
later...
8/15/1999 -- Swervedriver's OFFICIAL site launches
at www.swervie.com.
After many months of teasing us, Ajay has finally unleashed www.swervie.com,
the OFFICIAL Swervie site. There's a lot of depth to the site, especially
the discography database. Good work Ajay and congrats guys on finally
having an "official" home!
8/10/1999 -- A new look for Swervedriver.com.
It could still use some tweaking, but here's the long overdue site redesign.
Not to be confused with Ajay's
site redesign, which is also long overdue. Anyway, I hope you like
it. I'll be posting news about the band's hiatus and solo endeavors soon,
as well as many more quality links. So, stay tuned!
8/10/1999 -- Swervies Featured on (still yet
another) Movie Soundtrack.
Here's an oldie-but-a-goodie. Year of the Girl is featured of the soundtrack
to the Hart Bochner film PCU. Bochner also directed the film High School
High. I sure hope the band is making some money off of this...

Affleck film Forces
Of Nature.
02/05/1998 -- Swervies Featured on Movie Soundtrack.
Swervedriver (and Zero Hour labelmates Varnaline) will have a song on
the upcoming soundtrack for Morgan J.Freeman's (Hurricane Streets) new
movie Desert Blue due out in May. The cast includes Christina Ricci, Casey
Afflect, Sara Gilbert and Kate Hudson. Desert Blue will be the premiere
movie screened at this years SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX.
02/05/1998 -- Adam & Steve to play live
with Sophia in NYC.
Adam Franklin and Steve George of Swervedriver will be collaborating with
Sophia in NYC at the Mercury Lounge (217 E Houston St. at Ave A, New York
City, 212-260-4700) on February 24th and at Arlene Grocery (95 Stanton
St, between Ludlow & Orchard Sts, New York City, 212-358-1633) the
following Saturday night.
02/05/1998 -- New Vinyl & CD Releases.
Swervedriver has a split 7" with Sophia available. Look for their
"Wrong Treats" EP available later this year! It will contain
more songs than the import single! Their Space Travel Rock and Roll single
is available domestically (limited to 2,500 CDs/500 LPs). Same as the
Australian release but with much better packaging.
11/24/1998 -- Space
Travel Rock and Roll U.S. release.
Swervedriver's 12" Single "Space
Travel Rock and Roll" will be released on 12/08 and is nicely
packaged in a special grey, metallic, see-through bag and limited to 2,500
CD's and 500 LP's.
