It’s a bit shit. I did see some swervedriver songs that i wasn’t familiar with – ‘Snowmobile’? ‘love hate begins ends’?. I did get Andalucia and In the City though. I do buy all of the swervedriver records i can get my hands on but it’s nice to have an mp3 of my zephyr rather than having to did the record out everytime i want to hear it. I’m pretty sure that they’ll be shutting napster down in the near future anyway (which has it’s good and it’s bad points). Having been a “worker’s” city for so long its kinda wierd seeing the place evolve into something not quite so clear. For those of you reading on, Newcastle has been visited by Swervedriver twice. The scene they were most likely to have encountered was one with people passionate about their rock with a strong grass-root establishment of rock bands which have resumed their base stone haunts at the many local pubs. I suppose that’s just one of the traits musicians from this town have that just won’t die! By the way, I moved to Stockton (peninsular/island suburb on east coast)two years ago. Being a flat land mass “seaside” town, I can best describe the feel of this place by comparing it to the video clip of “Sandblasted”. There’s been many a shipwreck along Stockton Bite and as a matter of fact a local band who won this years “battle of the bands” competition is named after of the the wrecks = “Duresder” I think thats how ya spell it? Anyway Kik, Newi is fine.

They’ve always given SWD a decent outage. I think mebbe that national exposure could be a solid reason why SWD is reasonably well known down here. (Most indie DJs give them a spin too).
