“Bolts of Melody, Franklin’s first proper solo album, more or less begins where we left off, albeit with the volume turned down a little. “Seize the Day” thrashes around like The Posies and Teenage Fanclub never went out of fashion; “Song of Solomon” is a charming tribute to Elliott Smith, and “Sundown” sounds more like the Lemonheads than the Lemonheads do these days.

“I feel the album picks up nicely where Swervedriver left off. It incorporates the many-layered chorus of guitars swirling around the melodies sustained by Adam’s distinct laid-back vocal styles. There is a more 60’s guitar pop feel with Adam wearing influences from garage bands and psychedelia groups.”
