Ever have a commercial jingle stuck in yer head for days?
Well, that’s the point, innit? [
] Thankfully, spam is that much less visceral – I’d prolly hurl this thing against the wall if it started playing spam audio/video.I’m showing my age here, but every once in a while I get this… jingle/loop/riff/whatever from this 90s commercial, possibly a retail electronics chain here in the USA, though it was slick enough to be global. I think the premise was, “when you walk into our store, you get this…” [visual depicting pleasant shopping experience] vs. “when you walk into their store, you get *this*…” [visual depicting white background MTV shots of a Monster Magnet-style band jamming something like this:
“We’re coming for you!
We’re coming for YOU!!
Screaming at the top of our lungs!
SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF OUR LLLUUUNNNGSSS!!!!”Anybody? Or am I wishing I saw this? Or have any others?
I think I’m going to name my next band Pleasant Shopping Experience…
