Last Friday I had one of the strangest experiences of being in a band yet.
My band played a show to 150 convicts in Glasgow’s Barlinnie prison. Never been so nervous before a show ever. After the third song it was fine though. Apart from the heckling, which we oddly enough took a bit more seriously than usual. Also tended not to make too much eye contact with the audience!!
However, we were playing in the prison chapel and the drummer’s kit was in front of a giant wooden crucifix-well wierd.
This has to rank as a fairly surreal few hours.
