I’m here. Have not been in a while though. The forum kind of died when the site was down for so long plus this new version is annoying. I get the best interaction from facebook these days. Hello brothers!
Plus, the login with captcha is tiring and taking up time. Did the forum have so much spam by bots that this is warranted? Beside, if there would be regular news here or something that’s not on (booo!!) Facebook, the forum could gain more momentum. Not everybody tolerates Facebook nowadays anymore.
Spam was our biggest problem and it is even creeping into this forum. The sad reality is you have to be part of a pay service to fight spam these days. It is something that needs to be kept up with daily.
I agree facebook is a pain but that is where the audience is. I don’t know how to do it better without spending.
Brad, i understand the problem – just keep lines open outside of Facebook. If they suddenly decide you suck, then they will pull the plug and you don’t want to depend only on their good will. Or keeping to their rules, which they have proven often enough to break.
