I just posted my annual blog post of my Top albums of the year – late, I know, but better late than never. Lots of links to some of my most recent favorite tunes. And man, check out Cheatahs, who sound a lot like Swervedriver.

As for TODAY…my favorite song today is Waking Up On Time by Mounties. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m4e7XPApRg

I’ve tracked 29 in a nice order that I’ll be listening to the next few days to make adjustments. Still need that 1 missing tune “Don’t go to dreamstate (demo)”, I’m starting to think its a ghost that was mislabeled at some point.
Speaking of that. The copy of “the way love used to be (demo)” that I have sounds like a rough copy of the studio cut. Can anyone say for sure that this is real?

Hey James…sorry I’ve been of the board for a long time. The “Don’t Go To Dreamstate (demo)” is the album cut – sounds like pre-mastering. Adam posted it with the label “demo” on the Magentic Morning Myspace and a scooped it. So that one can be put to rest. thanks for the comping!

This project is so well done. Every selection has a new interpretation and the production is fabulous. Currently blown away by the For What It’s Worth Cover. My selection, “She’s Beside Herself”, is particularly brilliant – and he added some psych-guitar sounds after the fact, making my original song a true original!
How many others out there commissioned tracks and found the bandcamp versions to be slightly different?

Adam has done multiple versions of most of the swervie catalogue, but another take on Duress had been lacking until now – amazing.
And my fave Toshack song, “The Streets That Spin Off” – I love the patient beginning before that complex acoustic riff comes in.

Amazingly, another full disc coming in a week. So happy.

Just got mine (all three colours!) I think Deep Wound is pure Swervedriver — feels like a 99th Dream track. I am am little disappointed with the sound quality though. Seems recorded a little low and too much bass. But still an awesome track. The b-side remix is definitely not a cast off. Very different from the single, and sounds much more like Adam’s solo stuff, to great effect. I’m pretty happy about all this.

A reminder on their weird shipping set up for outside Aus. Select “international order” for 22 bucks, then select store pick up as your shipping choice in the next step. Your total should ONLY be 22 bucks all in.
