I finally got the Toshack first album on vinyl at a live show. I had never seen the vinyl before. Awesome.

Adam told me that the rarest of the rare is a french pressing of
Raise (he said he thinks it was the CD version) that printed the cover art upside down. Not that that has anything to do with rarity of the music itself, but for us collectors…anyone ever seen this?

What do we all think is the rarest (officially released) Swervedriver song – the song most difficult to acquire? With Juggernaut Rides, a lot of rarer songs are now easily available.

But there are about six that are pretty rare in their original form:

99th Dream promo with the 4 track of “These Times”
UK ESR promo with “Its All Happening Now”.
    “Andulacia” from JPN Raise.
“Up from the Sea” (4 track) on 93 Million Miles 7″
“In My Time” (4 track) on Sofia split 7″
“Surf Twang” & “Deep Twang” that came with Raise LP

As for rare swerve releases (regardless of the music on them), i would love to hear your opinions. For example “Blowing Cool” b/w “For Seeking Heat” on a 12″ promo. Sigh…i miss 12 inch promos.

Yeah, we’re talking all time songs, so I had to cap it somewhere! It was really hard to do, same goes for the Beatles and a few other key bands. But diversity was important. But I don’t think I have ever seen a top 500 (or 100) songs that had any Swerve representation at all, so I am pretty satisfied.

Quite a bit of anguish in leaving out Sci-Flyer, Sunset, Duress, It’s All Happening Now, Maelstrom, Last Day…the list goes on.

I should also mention that Toshack Highway and Magnetic Morning also make appearances:

    269. Spring Unseen – Magnetic Morning
    432. The Streets that Spin Off – Toshack Highway

This is some GREAT stuff. What’s in the bottle? I can only assume tequila.

I don’t have any paraphrenalia, except a cool little Satansville magnet. But my most prize possessions in the world are my Swerve releases. I guess my most prized are:

    1) Japanese Raise with “Andulacia”
    2) Geffen promo of 99th dream with “These Times” 4 track
    3) ESR promo that has “It’s All Happening Now”
    4) Signed copy of Satansville US promo with “Cars Converge on Paris”, “In the City” and “the Hitcher”.

I have pretty much everything (no cassettes, though) but still looking for the rarest of the rare…Adam told me a France printing of Raise has the cover art upside down. If anyone sees this and cares little about such things, please let me know.
