Hey, I was at two of the shows on the tour and didn’t see the demo you’re referring to. Can you tell me a bit about it? thanks, j.

Smaller venue show – Arcade Fire (honorable mention for Caribou, Constantines, early Verve.

Large venue show – U2, Unforgettable Fire tour. (honorable mention for The Who, the Clash, and, don’t laugh, Rush)

If I recall, the only other songs they had up (and it might have actually been on the Toshack Page as well) were demo versions of Cold War Kids and Yesterday’s Flowers.

I’m in, and will try to locate my long sleeve “Kill the Superheroes” shirt. Can’t wait.

I am so pissed off about this NXNE deal that i just bought tickets to the Boston show. That’s another thing that sucks…normally Swerve would pick some cool openers but may not have any sort of control for NXNE.

    Now…how to get Boston.

I am so happy that they are playing Lee’s…its a bit smaller but a fantastic venue. Nice high stage and great sound.

The NXNE issue SUCKS! Now, I LOVE NXNE, but it could mean a short set, as Brad says, and it means getting wristbands for the evening or weekend. My only hope is that Swervedriver gets the same treatment as Guitar Wolf, who played a 2 hour set to close the evening. We also sometimes see NXNE have special venue concerts where there are actual advance tickets and maybe 50 people with wristbands get in as well (Dinosaur Jr. did this last time). But that tends to be at bigger venues like the Phoenix or Kool Haus.
