Yeah, I’m sure I could create some sort of correlation between autistic children and islamic fundamentalistists! After all, it’s not the actual results which are important in research, but how you spin them! :)

I’m a behavioral research technician. I work for a government funded research facility. Basically we study how children with developmental disabilities (autism) learn. Sounds important, but most of the research we do never really gets to see the light of day. It can be a cool job, but once a study gets going, there is really not much to do except sit back and wait for the data to come in. In the mornings, I head to one of the schools we use as a testing site, run a few kids in our computer based studies, then back to the office to sit and stare at my computer. My job turns into a game of how soon can I sneak out of here without anyone noticing. It doesn’t even feel like a REAL job! I’m kinda nervous, because I am going to have to get a real job soon. Unfortunately, Bush’s grant funding cuts are causing a lot of us to lose our jobs. I have six months before my grant runs out, and I have to decide what I want to do for my next career! I think this will be a healthy change! Maybe open Brooksies’ Bar and Grill,….or maybe Brooks’ Cafe. Any investors out there?….just kidding!

I have the new M83 album, I like it. Is the last one better (dead cities..)? I may try to see them.

Beaster is probably my favorite, followed by Copper Blue. Judas Cradle from Beaster is such a great song! It’s one of those songs you HAVE to play at top volume. I think it’s going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

They sound much better live than on CD. I mean, the CD is great, but live, they just turn it up to 11! They played the Paradise a few weeks ago and did an Istant Live recording, which should be available at Newbury Comics in April. I’d recomend picking that up. And the next 2 rounds after that will be on me!

I’ll be there! My friend Ron and I rarely miss them, and sometimes even our wives make it, if it’s an early enough show! I don’t think tickets are on sale yet, it’s still a ways away. We should meet up for beers ahead of time!
