I have an ipod 20Gig and I love it. I spend a lot of time talking to people who had ipods and also people who had the Creative Zen. That didn’t help me a lot. I heard good and bad about both. But people with ipods seemed a bit happier with theirs. That’s my 2 cents worth!
Also – in itunes (which is a fantastic program) you can adjust the length of time between tracks.

This performance will be Adam doing a solo acoustic set.
Wait till you hear who they got for the 3rd artist. I thought it was confirmed but I guess if it’s not up on the store’s site, it’s not yet being announced. [8D]

I wish I could to go this one!!!

on one hand it does make me get sick of the song after I hear it too many times (luckily I don’t watch too much TV)….. on the other hand… I can’t help but thinking there are some very cool people who like the same music I like, who’ve gotten themselves into music supervisor jobs, and when I hear small bands I like on a commercial… part of me is happy for their payday (as opposed to some crappy band getting the $).
As bummed as I was that I can’t bear to listen to the Von Bondies “C’mon C’mon” anymore or the Vines “Ride” (due to the car commercials on the radio)… I got over it and knew there was still a ton of other good music. [8D]

Yep..I played the Crass Mix ONCE at a DJ gig and it didn’t go over too well. Being pretentious is better than being crass I see. [8D]

If that’s the case – I think I need to check ’em out!

Yes, I hear some Big Country in there too, actually.
Hey Rocket – are you in KC? I’m going to be in Lawrence in a few weeks. Anything fun going on around there? I’m DJing one night in Wesport. A Mod night. I’ll PM you. [8D]

Haven’t posted here in a while (although I do check in) [8D]

Today I’m listening to a band (?) called the Books. Saw them last night at the Knitting Factory and picked up the new album. Right now I’m listening to “An Animated Description of Mr. Maps”.

This band is OUT THERE. Not for everyone. Definitely experimental. But if you’re into sound samples and bands like Cornelius and Sigur Ros, it might be for you. :)

This however, cracked me up… anyone in a band who’s been asked repeatedly to categorize your music will appreciate this band’s very amusing answer:

    from their bio:
“Though The Books are hard to categorize they are often pressed in interviews to categorize themselves. It took them almost as long as the making of their album to come up with this remotely suitable answer: blipworld / fakegrass / speedblues / chamberclick / eccentrock / country&eastern / glitch post-anything music with samples, closely followed by “food band”.

Anyway, they are on a US/Canada tour right now and I DO recommend the live show.
