Just been out in the car and listened through two times, it’s certainly more densely textured and sounds more like a band effort if that makes sense. Standouts for me are –

She’s Closer Than I’ve Ever Been
I Want You Right Now
Spent Bullets
Sinking Ships

…but everything is full of win here!

Going to be great to get the vinyl on rotation but the digital copies will suffice for now.

Cheers mate. Interesting that it is available for USA. I just created an account there to check if the purchase status might change but no dice as it indicates territory restrictions for Australia. Good going for those lucky peeps who can grab it though.

I hope to buy a ‘Deluxe’ version from Second Motion as I did with Spent Bullets. Stephen even popped in a nice Disciplines 7″ as we had discussed Ken Stringfellow/The Posies briefly before purchase. Great label and top class fella to be sure.

I just looked for anything regarding the new album today and Google listed that link on the first page of search. If you guys dig deeper it seems Second Motion has most of the artist catalogue listed there for purchase as well. Also, the release date shows 29th of June and in my region(Australia) and displays N/A for purchases at the moment.

I thought it might be a nice gesture to link that site as the amazon streams are only 15-20 seconds at best so apologies for that. Another point to take note of is the 256k mp3 streams which are middling quality at best. Looking at how that site works it seems to be subscriber/community focused which seems to be a positive.

Interesting situation but I am sure Second Motion will clear up any issues relating to its artist catalogue being available there.

If you use Firefox as your main browser download the DownloadHelper extension –

http://www.downloadhelper.net/

It will add a button to Firefox that will download flash/flv from youtube and many other sites and has conversion built in for mp3 and video file types as well.

Have been using it for the last few years and it is great for building video collections for mobile devices and grabbing mp3 files from blogs etc.
