    Have i forgotten anyone?

    How about me?? :)
I am moving to Lenexa, KS around May 20th so if you haven’t sent it out now, you may want to hang onto it until the end of the month.

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while – hope you all are well.

Wife got her MMR (Masters in Market Research) from Univ. of GA and a great job with Hallmark in Kansas City, MO so lots of moving (from 2 locales) for us this month.

I will try to post slightly more regularly from now on.

    hello after a long absence….

I have heard that Pelican were more like a heavier Explosions In The Sky… no? Speaking of post-rock, I saw local boys Maserati here last weekend. All new stuff, all amazing. Almost like a Swervie/Can hybrid!! You will like the new LP (out later this year, they’re recording it in May), I guarantee.

Yeh, he’s pretty animated and his strength is that he makes mundane, everyday occurances that you’d never think about laugh-out-loud hilarious. Wait until you hear one of the sketches on the CD about how you can never get that last line of dust into the pan when you sweep!

My only gripe with him (besides the fact he releases more CDs than Robert Pollard/Guided by Voices or the Fall) is that he swears a lot more than neccessary. Not that I am a prude (far from it, if you know me!) but he gets so involved with the stories that he just lets the f- and s-bombs fly faster than a drunk sailor. Kinda distracts from his delivery, IMHO.

I will work on getting “Greatest Hits” vol. 1 and 2 DVDs and send those off to you. I have a pic of me with BM last month (week before Xmas) at the Maine Mall where he has a kiosk to sell his wares and his annual New Years’s shows in Portland. I wanted to tell him that if he puts out a 4th DVD, he should call it “Led Zeppelin IV” and see if anyone gets the joke. But I forgot.

Super nice guy too, always willing to do benefit gigs anywhere in Maine.

    Croz:
Got the 3 CDs yesterday (my return to Athens, GA delayed for 24 hours because of weather in the northeast – like I needed another reason not to visit there in the winter). Have gotten through the first few songs of the all-Aussie disc. I like what I hear. Decoder Ring and solo Men at Work guy bringing a smile to my face (I was surprised to learn how much I knew of “Overkill” as I was singing along to it).

I will make a MP3 CDR of my Bob Marley CDs and hopefully a DVD copy of one his shows for you. Also got my pic taken with the man himself – he had a kiosk in the Maine Mall where he was selling his CDs, DVDs, t-shirts and tickets for his annual end-of-year show the following week. He moved back to Maine from L.A. this past September – having two teenage girls will do that to you.

    Whats BM website?

Croz: Sounds fine to me, take your time. I will be gone from my address from December 18 to January 3 for Xmas/New Years/etc. so there’s no rush.

    Bob Marley’s website is http://www.bmarley.com
