I second the above motions – especially Mikey. Where Graham was bombastic, and Jez technical, Mikey is dare I say Bonham-esque. The irresistible force against the immovable object.

Drunk as I was, I managed to get “Duress”: https://youtu.be/WpQs2Ta1Jbc

I was there – encore no joke. I was halfway expecting some energy lag towards the end, considering the two full sets – but they were on the ball all night.

Mikey Jones is a perfect fit for the band.

I only got “Duress” due to my inebriation and position in the room: https://youtu.be/WpQs2Ta1Jbc

SWD – ‘For a Day Like Tomorrow’

Specifically, the last 1:57 of it. My life has been such that I haven’t even given SWD’s last album a sitdown.

I finally did and it’s god damn beautiful.

I got tix for Metro 9/7 notwithstanding.

I finally got my poop in a group and got Nyte Gamez up on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/DJMixDermot

So there. There’s yer fuckin blast from the past today :)

This was so delicious I kicked down extra for it. Deep Seat especially.

Totally late on this and how it went down, but woulda thrown Wrong Treats into the hat. Hope it’s on disc 3.

Everyday, rock n roll is saving my life, indeed.

Howdy to Croz n Rocket n Hayseed n Loper n Boomer n Brad n everbody and thanks, Adam.

XF, I’m gonna start a new thread about this topic, so I don’t derail this thread.

Heya Croz!… prolly not until later in the year. My collaborator (Mr. Midnyte Snack) is a middle school teacher, and the summer months are better for gettin steady work done with him. Plus, we’ll want to start fresh with what we know now – the stuff you heard was while we wuz cuttin our teeth. I’d like to go back and remix some of it, change a few things here and there, maybe go into a studio to do it… but I suspect Mr. Snack will want to move forward.

I have a new YouTube channel, and I’m thinkin of just putting the songs up there with still images. YouTube = easy to get to, if I upload mp4’s the sound quality will be good (much better than that POS myspace came up with), people will be able to download for free if they want it, etc. I still need to look into BandCamp and such.

Thanks for askin, Croz – nice that someone remembers it :)

Hey ever’body… been away in self exile. I’ll spare you the gory detail. Missed the Taste of Randolph show last year. Just bought tickets for the Bottom Lounge show on April 3, tho. And I’ll try to get at least some pics/video of the show – I have a 16 gig iPhone with 14 gigs of music on it, leaving me only ~ 20 mins of video. Might have to offload some music to make space.

Been in touch with Uncle Geno off the board, and scored a copy of his “Happy Mary Days” CD. Quality stuff. Talked a bit about getting some collaboration together.

Speaking of collaboration, had a falling out with my partner in Nyte Gamez – between that and myspace becoming Digital Detroit, I pulled our page down last year. Logging in here tonight (this morning – it’s almost 4 am), I saw I still had a link in my signature to the page, and while the music and pics are gone, the page is still there – WTF? Have since smoked peace pipe with said partner, and will be looking for a new outlet soon – seems BandCamp is the way to go now? Can’t charge for the music cuz it’s heavy duty sampling, and we can’t afford lawyers. I’ve always felt anything I produce should be free, anyway. And a cease and desist letter would be nice to get, cuz that would mean /someone/ was listening /somewhere/.

Anyways… gettin back in the swing of things, and getting back to my old innernetz haunts. Seems this place has slowed down some, but so glad to see SWD in action still.

Long time no see everbody. Employed again, oddly enough as a contractor doing the exact same job I was laid off from 4 years ago. New Nyte Gamez can be expected this summer. And RIP Dio.
