It could still use some tweaking, but here’s the long overdue site redesign. Not to be confused with Ajay’s site redesign, which is also long overdue. Anyway, I hope you like it. I’ll be posting news about the band’s hiatus and solo endeavors soon, as well as many more quality links. So, stay tuned!

Date: Sun Jun 30 23:27:33 2002 Name: Zach City/State/Country: los angalees Comment: Hey Fester, is United by Fate Rival Schools only album? I really like that one too. I’ll have to look for the Flashing Lights too. If you haven’t checked out Ides of Space yet, give em a listen.
Date: Sun Jun 30 18:53:34 2002 Name: Fester City/State/Country: Toronto Comment: Zach-Presently, I’m listening to Rival Schools (from NYC) and The Flashing Lights (a Canadian band from the east coast I think). Both very cool. And then, of course, is my bootleg of the new Flaming Lips due out sometime this month. That disk is something else. The Lips kick ass. GBV is coming to town within a few weeks. Cheers to Brazil. R-O

Date: Sat Jun 29 18:18:10 2002 Name: Dave City/State/Country: St.Helens Comment: I was fiddling around playing deep seat about 15 mins ago and I realised I was playing the middle solo kinda wrong. Anyway I’ve updated the tabs and sent them to Art here (dunno if he will get it or not) and I’ve also uploaded it to my website. Http://www.geocities.com/swervedrivertabs —- Thankyou for the comments on pedals. Very interesting. www.ehx.com for electroharmonix website.
Date: Sat Jun 29 17:52:10 2002 Name: royboy City/State/Country: qwerty Comment: New or reissues… Smooth royboy, smooth. Obviously, you knew what I meant…Has the whole EH line been reissued? They had some really ace pedals. Ever hear of the “Hot Foot”? It was a treadle type pedal that had a flexible shaft inserted where the pot would be in a wah, and you could connect it to a pot on another pedal–expression pedal style..Real sweet for back in the day.

Date: Fri Jun 28 18:58:14 2002 Name: royboy City/State/Country: friday, motherfuckers. friday. Comment: seb–I’ve seen the instruction booklet for the modulator pedal, and it looks pretty fuggin awesome. It models like every weirdo sweepey swooshey pedal ever created. Dave–are you talkin new or reish electro harmonix?
Date: Fri Jun 28 17:32:52 2002 Name: Dave City/State/Country: St.Helens Comment: I’m getting an electro harmonix Big Muff pedal for another dimension to my distortion. Im considering getting the Small Clone chorus and getting shut of my Danelectro Mini Pedal Flanger. What do you think?
Date: Fri Jun 28 05:12:20 2002 Name: seb City/State/Country: midlander Comment: Yeah the Line 6 delay is the bollocks. Never tried a whammy pedal, I’m having this thing about pedals on the floor….So for now I’m not gonna expand. Does anyone know what the line 6 modulation pedal is like
Date: Thu Jun 27 22:32:15 2002 Name: Steve City/State/Country: Austin, TX Comment: Sad day in Rock n’ Roll. Lost the greatest Bassest of all time in John Entwistle. Guess it will have to be an all night Who tribute.
Date: Thu Jun 27 16:11:44 2002 Name: Dave City/State/Country: St.Helens Comment: Hey thanks for all the information.. I have been looking at the Electro Harmonix Big Muff. (USA Model) and from what I’ve heard and read it sounds like what I’m looking for. I am going to have to try one out. I’ve not decided for final though yet.
Date: Thu Jun 27 12:50:41 2002 Name: CHIZZY City/State/Country: JERK Comment: If you get a digitech whammy, try to get an older one. The reissues fall apart right quick. Mine lasted 3 months. And there’s no way to fix em… suckkos.
Date: Thu Jun 27 03:47:09 2002 Name: Dave City/State/Country: St.Helens Comment: Well Done Hairy! What have you been studying? Are you at University or College? By the way does swervedriver’s music conjour up strange images in anyones head when they listen to it? It sure does with me….
Date: Wed Jun 26 16:52:07 2002 Name: vdub City/State/Country: kc Comment: gawd i forgot about this msg board. glad to see swervies still kickin it. i saw somethin bout gbv below. new album kicks it old school style i heard. need to get it. here’s a question: who rips off adam’s voice more- doves or starflyer 59??? I like em both but they’re singers are bloody rip off artists. It sounds good though hehe.
Date: Wed Jun 26 14:52:05 2002 Name: Chris City/State/Country: England Comment: If you want pedals get an MXR Blue Box.
Date: Wed Jun 26 07:16:59 2002 Name: Hairyhaw City/State/Country: Glasgow Comment: Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! two B’s and a D. That’ll do fuckin’ nicely!!! Re the guest book: I’m with Chris on this one, I reckon you don’t really catch all the gossip with a forum. I too remember Ajay’s(where r u now?) and I wasn’t mad keen for it. And anyway, scrollin up for ten minutes is half the fun! Regarding pedals- Digitech Whammy mate. £179 to you and me, but from wot I’ve heard, well worth it!
Date: Tue Jun 25 21:40:58 2002 Name: royboy City/State/Country: bflo Comment: I haven’t been able to find ESR at any stores. I’m not sure if it’s out of print though. I bought it when it came out, and also have it on vinyl, but that rarely gets played (the vinyl–my turnable is tempermental). The cd is just about on it’s last legs, and I’m hoping desperately to hear back from swervie-stock. Good luck…I too favor this to a forum–much, much easier to see what’s going on. Dave–turbo rat distortion is sweet, and I’m tellin you–check out the Line 6 delay–you won’t regret it man!!!
Date: Tue Jun 25 18:58:24 2002 Name: Zach City/State/Country: LA Comment: Dave, I wish i could offer a suggestion, but I am completely ignorant to pedals. -Z.
Date: Tue Jun 25 18:57:51 2002 Name: Zach City/State/Country: LA Comment: Man, I wish we all could have heard Jez’s live cd. I bet that thing was good. As for ESR, can’t you just order it from an online site? Or is it out of print already? That’s would be a shame. -Zach.
Date: Tue Jun 25 17:29:26 2002 Name: Dave City/State/Country: St.Helens Comment: Any suggestions for the pedals?
Date: Tue Jun 25 15:28:19 2002 Name: Kevkov City/State/Country: London Comment: Does anyone know how much the p+p charges are for the swervie stuff, is it being shipped from the US? I really want to get my hands on esr and want to know how much this is gonna cost.
Date: Tue Jun 25 14:09:46 2002 Name: Chris City/State/Country: England Comment: I stent swervedriverstock an e-mail asking if i could pay by cheque but thet haven’t replied yet, maybe i’ll get a reply this way. As far as this guestbook goes i prefer it to a forum type thing, i’m pretty sure Ajay had one one the old site and it did my head in, too much effort to read all the messages. I prefer it this way.
Date: Tue Jun 25 02:19:55 2002 Name: Mike City/State/Country: Boston, Ma. Comment: Dave do you like the guitar? The jazzmaster. I played a ’62 or ’63 at guitar center and it was taged at $1,300. I picked it up and the volume knob fell off! It sounded nice and shitty when I pluged it in to an amp. I will stick to my strat.
Date: Mon Jun 24 16:45:45 2002 Name: royboy City/State/Country: Comment: Dave– Man, that’s a tough one. Seeing as how you’ve already got two fine guitars, and 600 pounds is equal to $900.91 ( I just checked it out –Damn!), I would recommend more pedals. Line 6 makes a very fine delay unit that goes for $300 . Chizzy’s got one and it’s a sweet, sweet toy. Another distortion would be cool too — so you can put one before and one after yer wah. Great for duress type pukey wah sounds…
Date: Mon Jun 24 12:53:48 2002 Name: Dave City/State/Country: St.Helens Comment: What do you all reckon? I own a Telecaster and a Stratocaster, should i? 1. Get a Japanese Jazzmaster for £600. 2. Get some more effects pedals? Ive got a Marshall Jackhammer Distortion/Overdrive. Danelectro Flanger and a Dunlop Crybaby Wah.
Date: Sun Jun 23 13:22:51 2002 Name: royboy City/State/Country: bflo Comment: mmmmm… goat….
Date: Sun Jun 23 13:03:08 2002 Name: Zach City/State/Country: LA Comment: I’m with you Dave! I don’t know if Art even reads here anymore, though. Should we drop him a line? Is it a big deal to install a message board? On another note, I saw Minority Report. I would recommend it. It provided a very interesting view of the future. Did y’all read about the goat that has been given spider genes, so that it’s milk will create spider silk 5 times stronger than steel?? No, that was not in the movie. That is REAL life right now. What a wild world, huh?? NP: Eliot Smith – Either/Or. Cheers, Zach.
Date: Sun Jun 23 11:21:17 2002 Name: Dave City/State/Country: St.Helens Comment: You know something, I really think that swervedriver.com should go out and have a full blown professional messageboard instead of this crappy guestbook thing. There could be just one forum or whatever. But the original post would be at the top of the page and the replies underneath. Instead of on here where the whole thing is reversed. If you read it from top to bottom your actually reading in reverse chronological order which is kind of stupid and its mildly frustrating.
Date: Sat Jun 22 20:49:06 2002 Name: K. City/State/Country: Comment: I was quite pleased to receive the email as well. Also… wondering if any UK’ers have heard of Unwind…
Date: Sat Jun 22 18:23:49 2002 Name: royboy City/State/Country: WOO-HOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Comment: Wow …They’ve finally replied. Swervedriverstock@yahoo — that is. Fucking kick-ass shit. Let’s hope I’m not too late though. Ahh yes..The Buried Life. Very good indeed. Beth’s vocals make me melt evry goddamn time. NP here… Lotus Crown “Chokin’ on the Jokes”. Kevin Sheilds’ l’il brother Jimi’s project, I believe. Out in ’97. They played here in Buf right after it’s release in a tiny ass hippie club, and I missed it because our own band was in the studio, and our ride home stiffed us… Oh well. Check it out. I think he (Jimi) had another band called Rollerskate Skinny as well. They sound like Mercury Rev on the brown acid. Later. It’s beer drinkin time on the one week aniv of the mighty fine Doves show..

Date: Wed Jun 19 21:02:41 2002 Name: ZigZag City/State/Country: Chi-guy Comment: *Agrees with Dan* Lounge Ax was great, we actually played there for the first time on Christmas-Eves-Eve the year they closed (I think on New Years Eve, right?). Zach…Good days they were, music should hopefully revert back to a Rennaisance, it happens every 12 to 15 years, usually with a Republican in office, usually during a war and/or recession (ROCK-N-ROLL (1954) Korea……”HIPPIE MUSIC” (1967), recession, Vietnam…..PUNK ROCK (early 80s), gas crunch, recession, Republican in office…..GOOD GUITAR MUSIC (1991), Republican in office, Gulf War, recession. Hopefully by the next wave of good music, I wont be too old to understand it…although I highly doubt that!!!
Date: Wed Jun 19 20:17:51 2002 Name: Zach City/State/Country: LA Comment: Wasssupppppp, y’all? I’m being crushed over here. At work at 5:30am and still here….Listened to every swerve LP today while working, which definitely helped to pass the time. I was also listening to early GBV. Those are some killer albums. Bee thousand and Vampire on Titus are awesome. Man, I miss the music of the early 90s!!!! Will it ever be as good again? Sadly, I think not. Cheers all, Zach.
Date: Wed Jun 19 18:20:23 2002 Name: Dan City/State/Country: Chicago Comment: Fireside has pretty much picked up the slack that other dives hosting punk rock abandoned – or are now abandoned themselves: Czar Bar, Dreamerz, Phyllis’, Batteries Not Included, Lounge Ax… punk rock and bowling… now *that’s* a good time! “Take the skinheads bowling / take them bowling”
Date: Wed Jun 19 16:49:25 2002 Name: brYan City/State/Country: Comment: Goddamn>?!>! The FIRESIDE BOWL!! I thought they were gonna shut that place down 2 years ago!!! That’s one of the things I really miss about Chi-town (lived there for 20 years!)
Date: Wed Jun 19 13:50:06 2002 Name: Dan City/State/Country: Chicago Comment: I just hit swervedriverstock@yahoo.uk up again… anyone else hear from ’em? Marc/Austin – what kinda stuff you lookin’ to do? I won’t be able to do your show due to family obligations, but lemmy know. And when you get back to Austin – if you bump into a girl named Mikele K. (pro. “Michael”), tell her I said hi…
Date: Wed Jun 19 11:32:46 2002 Name: Kev.c City/State/Country: NY Comment: Check out Boards of Canada !!! Amazing group.
Date: Wed Jun 19 09:53:12 2002 Name: Dave City/State/Country: St.Helens Comment: Mike, one more thing, if you would like me to record myself playing the lead in Deap Seat just give me a mail on mezcal_head@hotmail.com and i will send u a sound file if you are still struggling.
Date: Wed Jun 19 09:52:03 2002 Name: Dave City/State/Country: Alien Hive Comment: Mike from Boston, I have uploaded Hairy’s tab of the deep seat solo 1. Hairy by the way what is your real name? Good Luck Mike. Anyway, what does everyone think of a Jay Turser JT-Res guitar?
Date: Wed Jun 19 01:09:45 2002 Name: Fester City/State/Country: Toronto Comment: Just recovering from the weekend now;) Awesome show. Like, really, really good. Partied during the day after the England win (I was the “Go England!” freak during Elbow) and got there just in time. What can ya say! Great venue, great crowd, Elbow rocked, and the Doves kicked major ass. Really appreciated all the compliments to T.O. and stuff. They all seem like great guys. In fact, I thought the show was so good that I started missing the swervies. Big time. Here’s to hoping that the Flaming Lips are next. cheers!
Date: Tue Jun 18 22:35:13 2002 Name: ZigZag City/State/Country: Chi Comment: Marc-o-Austin, TX. Thanks for the skinny. Fireside is actually a cool place to play, a bowling alley converted to a music venue. Its a little more than slightly run down, but that adds more atmosphere in my book. Probably see you there, ‘specially if you dig The Swerves.
Date: Tue Jun 18 16:15:04 2002 Name: Mike City/State/Country: Boston, Ma. Comment: Dave I tried your Deep Seat tab when you first posted it to your site. Still though I am stumped on that 1st lead. Could you post Hairy Haw’s version? “Could be because I’m not drinking” that I cant land that lead.
Date: Tue Jun 18 15:26:01 2002 Name: est City/State/Country: TO Comment: Royboy – Yup made it to the show! They were amazing! So good, I was very impressed with elbow as well. Chizzy emailed me the pee story, hilarious! ha ha! As for the venue, wish it hadn’t poured, would have been beautiful on that deck in the sunshine!
Date: Tue Jun 18 14:25:48 2002 Name: Chris City/State/Country: England Comment: I think we’ve addressed the whole Adam/Kurt Ejector seat/Scentless Apprentice situation before. I’m pretty sure Adam said it was him singing but it was definitley a homge to Kurt. I’m sure the answer’s in the archive of this guestbook somewhere……
Date: Tue Jun 18 14:05:07 2002 Name: royboy City/State/Country: bflo.ny. Comment: The doves show was super fuckin good. Kick-ass venue right on the north shore of good ‘ol stinky Lake Ontario in this restored dance hall from the 30’s or 40’s. Chizzy (inadvertantly) pissed on somebody’s head/face, but I’ll let him tell the tale. It’s ace. That’s crazy– the nirvana sample, I mean. I also thought it was Adam getting aggro. Fester, EST–What did you think of the doves/elbow? Didja make it?
Date: Tue Jun 18 13:39:04 2002 Name: marc City/State/Country: Austin, TX, USA Comment: P.S. I always figured that was Adam singing “Go Awayyyyyyy,” on Ejector Seat during the part that you are refering to.
Date: Tue Jun 18 13:36:43 2002 Name: marc City/State/Country: Austin, TX, USA Comment: Hello, Swervies! Just wanted to say, yes the Doves rock. Also, just got turned on to an old band on Caroline called the Drop Nineteens. They are most assuredly broken up, but their album that came out in the early 90’s is a dream-pop, shoegaze secret weapon. If you can find it, you will love it. It has a Madonna cover on it that is brilliant in its deconstruction. The noise-pop band I play in, Schatzi, will rock the Fireside Bowl in Chicago on Sat, June 22nd. Any Chicago Swervies should come out and direct me on stuff to do in Chicago as we will have 2 days off there. Never lose that feeling. Werd.
Date: Tue Jun 18 12:36:22 2002 Name: brYan City/State/Country: Comment: just before the line “Fly me to Nirvana or Shangri”
Date: Tue Jun 18 12:33:43 2002 Name: brYan City/State/Country: here and now Comment: In the song “EJECTOR SEAT RESERVATION” near one of the last ‘peaks’ there is a nirvana sample of kurt singing off the ‘In Utero’ album… anyone else hearing this?!?! It’s in the last 1/4 of the song, just before it gets all nice and quiet.
Date: Tue Jun 18 11:44:39 2002 Name: ZigZag City/State/Country: Comment: GBV was on Greg Kilbourn last night(CBS 11:30 CST)…did anyone see it?…What song did they do???

Date: Mon Jun 17 18:57:46 2002 Name: brYan City/State/Country: Seattle Comment: Please help me – back up to my feet – Reserve me the Ejector Seat… (Everyone caught the Nirvana Sample in that one??? “Go awaaaaaeeeey… go awaaaaaaeeeey” from scentless apprentice)

The other Vegas (that of the Northern Hemi, Trik) was a severely fun and exhausting time. Now “I ponder, weak and weary,” as Poe would say, knowing that Monday will be the mother of all hell. Oh well, you gotta pay the bills somehow, I suppose. Wishing everyone a pleasant week, and GO USA (world cup, you know what I mean?)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-p Zach

Anywho, Dave can you post the Deep Seat tab from Hairy on your site? That bluesy lead break before the breakdown is still elusive to my jedi powers.

As for Starflyer 59, ‘Yes, they are a “jesus” band’. They just don’t wear it on their sleeves. It was in an interview with them somewhere. Their best of CD set is very good for starters. Don’t you hate it when the onion slides out of the protective batter-dipped coating!?!?! There’s nothing cooler, better, more superb, or grander in all the universe than when you “rip the onion”. My friends, Swervedriver severly RIPS THE ONION!!!! ciao’

OK, so the other day I’m watching one of the coolest movies ever, The Wicker Man, and had I forgotten just how awesome the music was in it. There was one song in particular that really stood out that was amazing. Well, what do you now! I’m listening to the second disk, and on comes WILLOW SONG. The very same tune from the Wicker Man a few days before. Just awesome. How cool are the Doves? Check out the Wicker Man if you haven’t seen it already. It’s got Christopher Lee in it, who seems to be in everything lately. cheers!

They are the same as Fender’s new “vintage noiseless” pickups. I just put some G&L ASAT pickups in my Tele. It smokes!!! You can’t buy them after market though…I bought from a guy who took them out of his G&L. Anyhow, digging on some jam bands lately, Galactic or Ozric Tentacles anyone. It’s all spacerock to me.

Date: Mon Jun 10 13:23:38 2002 Name: brYan City/State/Country: Comment: Yes, like the good boys of Swerve, Massive also disbanded of sorts, though not a proper breakup, they were just not doing music together. I forget which party… but one of ’em joined up with part of te portishead crew for a project called STATIK SOUND SYSTEM that didn’t do all so well.. but they sounded good. So, to use Massive, one of the greatest band of our day, as a parrallel example, there remains still a chance of a new Swervedriver album. Now is the time!! There would be nothing better than this: 2 years time, max, to see this tour: SWERVEDRIVER/MASSIVE ATTACK. Would be the grandest tour ever! ANY ONE OUT THERE AGREE?!? Now to make it happen……………………….

All the money Ive spent on gear(and will continue to spend) is just for a hobby and fun, trying to get out there is just a frustrating chore that I choose not to participate in for now. It somehow diminishes my drive to do it. Social Distortion in Chicago…anyone going? Anyone have an extra ticket? (anyone here even like them?)
Date: Sun Jun 9 20:33:10 2002 Name: Fester City/State/Country: Toronto Comment: Hey. Saw BRMC last Thursday. WOW! Real tight, and finished off with one of those 20 min Inspiral Carpets/Spiritualized super-songs. Most satisfying.:) Got the latest Flamming Lips. It’s awesome. They’ve switched over to the machines this time (given the evil robot theme that runs throughout it, and the fact that they’re down a guitarist) and it reminded me of Toshak in a lot of ways. Should give it a listen. Very cool Zig Zag. Ides is rockin’. Chizzy/Boy of Roy- To tell you the truth, this Palais Royal is a new one, so I’ll have to look it up. It’s on the Lakeshore though, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find. Elbow is opening apparently, which is a nice surprise because I sorta dig em’. Talk to ya real soon. Cheers.

But for those fortunate enough to have high-speed connections, check out my tune if youd like. Its kind of MBV and somewhat Yo La Tengo ala Autumn Sweater single that Kevin Shields remixed. I just came up with it in the recent past and thought Id share it with those that appreciate the same kinds of music as I do. www.mp3.com/joeykay , the song is entitled “The Vast Expanse”. Sorry, Im just very excited about this one.
Date: Fri Jun 7 18:37:03 2002 Name: Zach City/State/Country: LA Comment: Hey royboy, I really have never heard that they were a Jesus band??? I just like their sound. Here’s a quick and dirty AMG summary: ***********************Jason Martin had played keyboards and wrote several songs while playing with his older brother’s band, Dancehouse Children, but then formed Starflyer 59 in 1993 to create his own warped pop akin to My Bloody Valentine and the British shoegazing movement of the early ’90s. Since Martin writes every song, produces and plays most instruments on the handful of full-length albums and EPs he’s released, there’s no need for a conventional lineup. He simply recruits live players for the many tours which Starflyer has undertaken. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide ***************** So I don’t know? But, check out some of their tunes from the silver and gold albums. Pretty good stuff. Thanks, BrYan, for the info. I’m going to look into this massive attack by the massive attack guy. cheers all, Zach.

Yeah, I heard about Dee Dee Ramone too. Fuckin crazy, man. You’d think he’d have been past that shit by now… Happy weekend y’all. Oh, yeah— Fester, Est–Where is the Palais Royale? Chizzy and I are going to the Doves, and don’t exactly know where we’re going. Any help would be much appreciated…

Date: Tue Jun 4 16:56:58 2002 Name: Sundog City/State/Country: Chi-Town Comment: Man, news from Jez himself, thanks!! Let us know as soon as the book is published 🙂 As for the B/S with the live CD, could everyone at this board be considered possible ‘reviewers’ of the live recording without infringing on any rights? We would pay for ‘shipping’ 😉 Soooooooo close and still so far. Someone mentioned the Boo Radleys earlier. I can’t say I was big fan of their catalog (catalogue to some :p) but I really like Giant Steps. As for Swervie ‘never’ getting the popularity they deserved, it’s really simple. The MTV/Rock Radio Hype Machine wants ‘Rock ACTS’ not ‘Good Rock Music’. Swervedriver’s “problem” was they just wrote damn good rock music. “Quality” tends to be low on the list of the music industry. Afterall, the Music Industry, like most things, is about making MONEY, not music. I’m not saying that a company that publishes music should not expect a return on its investment, but there are ways to support good music without having to invest alot of money, especially considering the state of today’s technology. HHmmm, the Swervedriver.com publishing site. Pay a subscription fee, download new music or just use the subscription fee to pay for a quarterly CD of new music from bands that could be burned by one of those online CD companies. Art, what are you doing in your spare time? Adam, Jez, do you guys ‘owe’ the label any new music rights? Couldn’t you just copyright it yourselves? 🙂 OK, what is everyone at this board willing to ante up for new SWD music?…Like I said before, Dream Well Swervies…
Date: Tue Jun 4 14:31:22 2002 Name: brYan City/State/Country: Here and Now Comment: I don’t think it matters WHERE the musoc is played… sometimes you just need to make some money to eat, or to pay the bills… pretentious schmucks call it “selling out” but, you know what? Fuck that! If a band is doing it for the money, then that is another story, but there’s nothing wrong with getting the bills paid!
Date: Tue Jun 4 10:36:30 2002 Name: jessie City/State/Country: ny Comment: Are we allowed to like music if it has been played on dawson creek? I am very self conscious of looking cool, and that is a constant up hill losing battle so I must be very careful.

Date: Mon Jun 3 13:19:53 2002 Name: Dan City/State/Country: Chicago Comment: ZigZag – I’m in Tumans occasionally (for those outside Chi, their window has “ALCOHOL ABUSE CENTER” painted on it). The Hideout bums me out – I’ve been in there once, not very comfortable, and all I ever see parked outside are SUVs, Beemers and the like. Makes sense though, given the lack of E-Z public trans around it. I should hold my tongue, as the band I play with might very well be soliciting a show there soon. Try the Hungry Brain, on Belmont ‘tween Oakley and Western. Decent selection/prices/jukebox, lots of places to sit, friends own it, freaky free jazz Sunday nights. Erik – can you get any nice medical nitrous oxide?
Date: Sun Jun 2 21:23:28 2002 Name: Erik City/State/Country: Raleigh, NC Comment: Hey kids, I’ve been away for awhile, but I’ve kept my eye on everything and it seems that everyone is well. I’ve just been doing my thing here in Raleigh. My new house is sweet, my band is steady rocking, my job is, well, interesting to say the least, (I deliver liquid nitrogen, quite a change from the library). But anyway things are good. The other day, Dragstrip Syndicate opened for Molly Hatchet!! That was hilarious!! Definitely one of the most enjoyable gigs we’ve ever played. I hope all you swervies are happy boys and girls these days. Good to hear from Jez and good to hear the feeling’s still there. Take care all. -E

Let me know at least, I pay very little attention to the “hip scene” these days. analogblips@hotmail.com (oh god, the spammers will soon be like vultures on my e mail).
